Invisible Cities Book Cover

A redesign of the book cover for a critical edition of "Invisible Cities" by Italo Calvino. This cover design is inspired by the seen and unseen mysterious qualities of the cities. I chose a sans serif typeface to express the deceptive simplicity, yet the missing portions of the letters show that there is another aspect apart from what it seems to be. This design also attempts to convey the reflective trait of the city Valdrada from Chapter 3.
